I’ve known about Olds trombones since 8th grade. They have always been highly regarded. The P-16 Custom was the last “top of the line” small bore Tenor trombone that Olds manufactured before going out of business around 1979.
This is just a beautiful all-purpose trombone. The restoration work was beautifully done by Dillon Music. I recommend this horn for concert band, jazz bands (large and small), Latin bands, Polka bands.

*A buddy of mine has the best slides I’ve ever experienced. He switched from Trombotine to Yamaha Slide Lubricant a few years ago and swears by it. He says it rarely needs any water and only a spritz or two when necessary. I have Trombotine and Slide ‘O Mix available as well.
